Congratulations to graduate student Amy Zhang, awarded the 2016 Roy Rappaport Award

Congratulations to Amy Zhang, whose paper “Ecologies of Enclosure: Reconfiguring the Black Soldier Fly for urban waste management in Guangzhou” was awarded the 2016 Roy Rappaport Award for the best student paper in environmental anthropology by the Anthropology and Environment Society of the AAA. The panel honors the legacy of Roy Rappaport and the selection is based on the originality of the research and analysis as well as its contribution to the field of environmental anthropology. Amy Zhang is a student in the combined PhD program in Anthropology and Forestry & Environmental Studies, at Yale University; she is set to graduate in December 2016 and currently is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University.
