Graduate student Meredith McLaughlin recipient of an International Dissertation Research Fellowship from the Social Science Research Council

Congratulations to Meredith McLaughlin, a third-year PhD student in sociocultural anthropology, who has received an International Dissertation Research Fellowship from the Social Science Research Council, New York, to support her dissertation field research in India for the project entitled “FAITHFUL CITIZENS: Aspiration, Claim-making, and Islam in Rural Rajasthan, India”. This project also received approval from the American Institute of Indian Studies and the Fulbright Commission. Meredith McLaughlin plans to carry out this research over the next twelve months.
