PHD Candidate Bhoomika Joshi awarded NSF grant for her research, “Rapid Infrastructural Development, Mobility, and Changing Spatial and Social Relations”

Congratulations to Bhoomika Joshi, a fourth year student in sociocultural anthropology, whose dissertation research project entitled “Rapid Infrastructural Development, Mobility, and Changing Spatial and Social Relations” has received funding from the Cultural Anthropology Program of the National Science Foundation. Her dissertation research is also supported by an International Dissertation Research Fellowship from the Social Science Research Council, New York, and the MacMillan Center, Yale University. Bhoomika Joshi is currently conducting field research in Uttarakhand, India, for this project.
