Ph.D student Bukhchuluun Dashzeveg awarded Lewis and Clark Fund for Exploration and Field Research

Bukhchuluun Dashzeveg, a third year Ph.D student in Archaeology, was recently awarded Lewis and Clark Fund for Exploration and Field Research. His doctoral research focuses on the social dimensions of mortuary practices within early nomadic pastoral communities in the Gobi Desert of southeastern Mongolia (Dornogovi province) from the Late Bronze Age (c. 1500 to 1000 BC) through the Early Iron Age (c. 1000 to 400 BC). This project has also received support from the CEAS Field Research Grant, and The Augusta Hazard Fund. Bukhchuluun is currently  getting ready to head into the eastern Gobi desert, Mongolia.
