May 13, 2020

Postdoctoral Associate Dr. Maggie Corley was recently awarded a research grant from the Leakey Foundation. The grant will allow her to examine the mechanisms facilitating pair-bonding and intense paternal care by characterizing the hormonal correlates of these behaviors in a wild socially monogamous primate, the owl monkey (Aotus azarae). This work will be carried out in collaboration with the Yale Reproductive Ecology Laboratory and is part of an ongoing long-term research project, the Owl Monkey Project, founded by Dr. Eduardo Fernandez-Duque.
