Congratulations to post-doctoral associate Karine Gagné, now an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Guelph!

Congratulations to Dr. Karine Gagné, Banting Fellow and Postdoctoral Associate, Department of Anthropology, Yale University who is completing her two years at Yale and returning Canada, her home, to take up a position as Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Guelph. During her time at Yale, Karine Gagné completed a book manuscript entitled As Glaciers Vanish: Nature, Power and Moral Order in the Indian Himalayas which is now under contract at the University of Washington Press. She also conducted six months of field work on a project called “Himalayan Pathways: Aspirations, Infrastructure and Mobility in Zanskar, India” which brought her back to Ladhakh, India, for new research. While on campus, Karine Gagné helped convene the Environmental Anthropology Collective, presented her research and writing, and was a helpful colleague to many students.
