Graduate student Luisa Cortesi awarded a Josephine de Karman fellowship

Congratulations to Luisa Cortesi, a sixth-year PhD student in the combined degree program in Anthropology and Forestry & Environmental Studies who has been awarded the Josephine de Karman fellowship for 2017-18 to finish her thesis entitled “Living in Floods: Knowledge(s) and Technologies of Disastrous Waters in North Bihar, India.” The purpose of this extremely competitive fellowship program is to recognize and assist students in their last year of PhD whose scholastic achievements reflect professor von Karman’s high standards.
