September 28, 2022

Serena Tucci, Patrick Reilly and Anthro graduate students Audrey Tjahjadi and Samantha Miller published an invited review article on the contribution of Neanderthal introgression to modern human traits, in the prestigious journal Current Biology.

In this article, the authors discuss the most relevant studies from the past decade that illuminated the fitness and functional consequences of Neanderthal introgressed alleles, and the major challenges and new horizons of this growing research area.

A summary of the article can be found here.

Congratulations to the Tucci lab!
