Michael Maddox
Michael Maddox is a household archaeologist and doctoral candidate the Department of Anthropology. His dissertation research focuses upon topics of urbanism at the Late Preclassic to Late/Terminal Classic (C. 400 BCE to 900 CE) Maya city of La Milpa. Since 2013, he has been a research associate with the Programme for Belize Archaeological Project where he utilizes qualitative and quantitative techniques to examine histories of settlement at the site, craft specialization, and the role of commoners in processes of market exchange.
