Maurice Rippel

PhD Student

Maurice is a PhD student in the joint African-American studies and Sociocultural Anthropology program. He is currently entangled with issues of education inequality, masculinity studies, and citizenship. His work spans the African Diaspora with focuses in the Caribbean, Latin America, and the United States. 

Maurice completed his BA at Haverford College, majoring in English Literature. He is a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, and his research has been funded by the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship, the Watson Foundation, and the National Science Foundation.
