On October 10, 2022, Virginia Rosa Dominguez (Yale BA ’73, PhD ’79) will be awarded the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Science’s highest honor, the Wilbur Cross Medal. Awarded to a small number graduate school alumni each year, the Wilbur Cross Medal recognizes distinguished achievements in scholarship, teaching, academic administration, and public service. In lieu of a traditional academic talk, Professor Dominguez’s Wilbur Cross Lecture will take the form of a conversation with Ana Ramos-Zayas, Anthropology Department affiliate and Frederick Clifford Ford Professor of Ethnicity, Race, & Migration, of American Studies, and of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
