The Yale Program on Climate Change Communication (YPCCC)’s Climate Change in the American Mind (CCAM) study has tracked Americans’ opinions regarding climate change since 2008. This talk will both present results and include discussion of how YPCCC worked with external partners on this research. YPCCC contacted partners early in the question development process to learn about their data needs from a national-level survey, and worked with partners on drafting the final question text. YPCCC has also worked closely with partners in disseminating results, including through co-presenting results to elected officials at the federal and state levels. This has in turn strengthened our program’s relationships with climate justice practitioners and informed their advocacy for climate justice.
