Emeritus Professor Dr. Michael Coe
Emeritus Professor Dr. Michael Coe passed away on September 25th. Dr. Coe was a professor in the Yale Department of Anthropology for 34 years before retiring in 1994. Professor Coe’s work had an enormous impact in Mesoamerican archaeology, and it inspired public interest in Olmec and Mayan art and writing. He is survived by his five children and six grandchildren.
