Serena Tucci,  assistant professor of biological anthropology and evolutionary biology at Yale received a $2 million Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support her research in human genomics. The Tucci lab will use this award to bridge one of the largest gaps in representation in genomics by leading a large-scale genomic study of geographically diverse populations in Oceania, to reconstruct human evolutionary history and disentangle the genetic basis of phenotypic variation and disease susceptibility.

Congratulations to the Tucci lab!
