Nala is a PhD Candidate in Anthropology and African American Studies at Yale University. As a scholar trained at the intersection of anthropology, Black studies, and science and technology studies, her research examines how Black women anthropologists who interface with the materiality of the past negotiate their relationships to objects and ancestors amongst anti-Black racism and the hegemony of Western science.
